This week the CCP announced a healthy-looking GDP growth rate for last year, but immediately followed it with two interest cuts that are usually adopted to stimulate the economy when it is not doing well. Why? And why did the deputy governor of China’s central bank say that “the saddest thing is the death of people’s hearts”? I will talk about these issues first.
